AUDUBON PLEIN AIR

This past weekend I participated in the Plein Air event at James John Audubon's boyhood home called Mill Grove located in Audubon, PA near Valley Forge.
We had a little rain early on Friday morning, but later the sun came out.  I was back on Saturday as well with great weather.
Here is a view of the home from the entrance with the barn on the left.

I decided to paint the bench on the front porch and add a few other details.
Here is the bench and my watercolor that I called " Sketchbook on Audubon's Porch"  It will be online for sale.  Here is the link _ http://johnjames.audubon.org/plein-air-painting-mill-grove-april-17-19-2015

The other painting I completed is of the back view of the stone barn.

Here is the photo of that view.   The original watercolor will be at their show this coming Friday.   Go between 10:00 and 4:00 when all work is for sale.  That night the sale continues from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.  There will be a reception to raise money for the new Visitor's Center at $ 25 per person.

We will be there at the reception on Friday evening.  The next day I will be at Winterthur at the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters annual meeting with time to do some outdoor painting if the weather is good.
